We are proud to have been engaged to develop all of the airworthiness related procedures, forms and certificates during the establishment of Isle of Man Aircraft Registry in support of the Island's Director of Civil Aviation. Over a period of 6 months, we developed ICAO compliant procedures and defined Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) with the Air Navigation (Isle of Man) Order 2007 for all regulatory activities associated with aircraft certification, continued airworthiness and maintenance. This culminated in the successful launch of the new aircraft registry on 1st May 2007 when two new Citation aircraft were certified under the new system. We continue to support the DCA, fulfilling the role of Airworthiness Manager.
Baines Simmons was selected as sole supplier of organization assessment services to the UK MoD's Technical Enabling Service, Continuing Airworthiness Support Division. Following our contribution to the Division's understanding of the EASA airworthiness regulatory system and development of the new Defence Standard 05-130, we commenced organization assessment for the issue of MIL Part 145 MAOS approval, on behalf of the military regulator.
We have acted as the sole supplier of certification services to the newly established Isle of Man Aircraft Registry, completing aircraft surveys at factories and aerodromes around the world. We provide a team of authorized surveyors to the Director of Civil Aviation, accommodating owners preferred timescales and survey locations. The quality of our services has directly contributed to the success of the registry since its launch in May 2007.
